0.3 Readme changes and updated the script version to 0.3 as well as stating only compatible with Oolite v1.75 and later.0.4 Minor Readme changes and converted over to the OXZ format, so only compatible with Oolite v1.79 and later.(Good thing Auto-ECM can be disabled!)īut even together, the OXPs will not cause the ECM to fire faster than you could manually. So it's best to have only 1 such system installed or activated. The ECM may fire multiple times consecutively per each incoming missile as a result, rapidly depleting your energy banks. There may be a minor conflict with this and Cmdr Wyvern's Automatic Chaff System, Ramirez's Chaff Launcher, Thargoid's Anti Missile System, and/or Screet's Missile Countermeasures. They're too good (some at least are), have few/no weaknesses (cost-wise or space used), and/or player only. In short, they have serious game balance issues. NPC ships cannot use the OXP antimissile equipment, at least not without additional complex scripting. On top of this, the antimissile systems serve to devalue the somewhat expensive ECM-resistant "hardhead" missiles as well as quite a few even more expensive (but typically more powerful) OXP missiles. While fluff-wise the Cobra 3 does have some unused internal space, I didn't get the impression it was in a convenient location for external exits. Chopping specialized holes in the exterior of the player's ship can't help the overall resale value, especially if those items are later removed.

They need their own special ammo bin and launcher either firing forwards, firing/dropping rearwards, or both. Pretty much all of them seem to utilize hammerspace with equipment that I don't see as very small. I recognize that there are quite a few anti-missile systems out there, most of which use the ECM as well. Even when enabled, ECM can still be fired manually.but not more often than normal. Its function is to read several sensors from various systems and convert the readings to control the fuel injection system, idle speed control system and ignition timing. It can be enabled/disabled, via equipment activation.in case you'd prefer to manually use ECM or if you have other OXP equipment that has the same effect. The Engine Control Module(ECM), also known as the ECU or powertrain control module, is located underneath the car's dashboard, behind the glove compartment. It will warn but not fire the ECM if the energy levels are really low.

In addition to controlling the fuel mixture, the ECM also makes sure the timing and emissions control system work properly, as well as a variety of other systems and sensors. In a sense, you can assume many NPC ships already have this equipment. What is the Engine Control Module (ECM) all about The Engine Control Module (ECM) provides the brains for the engine of the vehicle. It's not "intelligent" - it just fires the ECM *ONCE* when a missile is fired at the player's ship. I advise anyone to find a local business instead of shipping out of state and do some research before choosing a business. This is a watered-down ECM-only antimissile system inspired by Ramirez's chaff launcher, Thargoid's AMS/Anti Missile System, Cmdr Wyvern's Automatic Chaff System (which was based on Thargoid's AMS and Ramirez's Chaff Dispenser), and Screet's Missile Countermeasures (which was based on Cmdr Wyvern's Automatic Chaff System). Auto Computer Exchanges eBay store sells remanufactured plug & play Engine and Transmission Control modules for Chrysler Jeep Dodge Plymouth Ford models. I will inform my buddy that was thinking of doing business them. Now I'm out about $110 bucks including shipping fees. Today I was reviewing my bank account online and I noticed they charged me $90 buck!!! WTF as far as I know this business could be a scam how can one know for sure if someone isn't just sending this ECM back to their owners and telling them they're not repairable.

After arguing my case, I was pretty much said pay or you don't get your ECM back. I dont remember anything that was said to me about this or said on their website of this sudden fee. I asked why? and he said that it was for all the testing they had done. already frustrated, I called them the following day and this time, I was told by this other person that I had to pay 70 bucks. Well, I never received a call from them so, I called them back and the person this time told me that they were having problems with shippments and for me to call back the following day. I then requested that they send it back and the person that I spoke to said, he would call me back to get my information in order to send it back. After a few day, I contacted the business to find out the status of my ecm and they informed me that they were unable to repair it for some unknown reason. I recently sent my ECM from California to have it repaired.
